Curiosity. Compassion. Collaboration.
Casey Hrynkow Shewchuk is WIK*D.

I ran Herrainco Brand Strategy + Design, a communication design firm based in Vancouver, for 35 years. We worked with cities and businesses across Western Canada on complex branding and communication challenges. That experience now feeds directly into the work I do with communities and organizations today.

I help decision-makers see the big picture more clearly. Facilitating workshops that use unique, disarming tools, getting strangers to look at problems together, my work provides insights that may be surprising and are always valuable.

With my team, I can facilitate group sizes from 5 to 60 at a time, and give agency to people who don’t usually get to be part of decisions. My work taps into the wisdom that lives in communities and, through very real experiences, gives participants the credibility to be champions of their ideas. I have worked with First Nations in British Columbia, as well as cities and universities across Western Canada. I recently presented my master’s research on reducing the stigma of homelessness at TEDxEmilyCarr 2020.
